Machined parts and components, made to your drawing.
You send the drawing and get price and lead time back within a day. On order we handle material, production, follow-up and delivery, and you keep one contact the whole way.

What you can order.
This is the starting point. If your part does not fit any of the fields below, ask anyway.
- Volume
- Prototype and one-offs through to series production. Trial and series volumes are priced differently, so give us both if you can.
- Materials
- Steel · Aluminium · Plastic · Ceramic. The material is driven by what the part needs, not by a fixed catalogue.
- Alloys and grades
- As per the drawing. If the material is not specified we propose an alternative that suits the function.
- File formats
- PDF · STEP / STP · DWG · DXF · IGES
- Response time
- Price and lead time within 24 hours of receiving your drawing.
- Responsibility
- GVEXA is your counterparty throughout. Claims and reruns are driven by us.
What drives the price
Five factors dominate. The last two are the ones that surprise people most often.
01
Material
Raw material cost and machinability come straight through.
02
Quantity
Setup time is spread across the volume. The step from 1 to 50 is a big one.
03
Geometry
Tight internal corners and deep holes require more operations.
04
Tolerances
Tight requirements mean more careful machining and measurement. Apply them only where they are needed.
05
Surface finish
Anodising, painting or zinc plating is an extra stage with a lead time of its own.
Tell us what the part has to do and we can sometimes suggest a change that lowers the price without affecting the function.
Two modes, the same contact.
The difference is what gets optimised. Moving from one to the other, you keep the same drawing package and the same person.
| Aspect | Prototype / one-off | Series |
|---|---|---|
| Volume | 1–20 pcs | From a few dozen upwards |
| Optimised for | Speed and verification | Unit price and repeatability |
| Pricing | Setup time dominates the unit price | Setup time is spread out and the unit price drops sharply |
| Lead time | Shorter, fewer stages | Longer start-up, then a predictable rhythm |
| Drawing package | A dimensioned PDF is often enough | A 3D file and complete tolerances are recommended |
| Typical purpose | Fit, function, trial assembly | Production and stockholding |
Machined parts.
- What is contract manufacturing?
- Contract manufacturing means a company places the production of a part or component with an external workshop, which produces it to the customer's drawing and specification. The customer owns the design, the workshop contributes machines and skill. GVEXA sources such work rather than carrying it out itself.
- What does tolerance mean on a drawing?
- The tolerance states how far a dimension may deviate and still be accepted. A figure such as ±0.02 mm means the part may be two hundredths larger or smaller than the nominal dimension. A tighter tolerance requires more careful machining and measurement, which raises both price and lead time.
- Which materials can GVEXA deliver in?
- Steel, aluminium, plastic and ceramic. The material choice is driven by what the part requires; there is no fixed catalogue limiting it. If you have already specified an alloy or plastic grade on the drawing we follow it, and if you are unsure we propose an alternative that suits the function.
- Who is responsible if a part comes back wrong?
- GVEXA. You have an agreement with us, and we are the ones who raise the claim, get it rerun and hold the dialogue until the part is right. That is the practical difference from buying from several suppliers yourself and standing between them when something deviates.
- Can you handle traceability and material certificate requirements?
- Yes. State in the enquiry which requirements apply, traceability, material certificates, documented tolerances, and they are built in from the start rather than discovered at delivery. They affect both price and lead time, so it is better to have them in the package than to add them afterwards.
